Chestnut Centre Conservation Park

Hidden in a beautiful Peak National Park valley the Chestnut Centre is well worth a visit.

A natural winding trail through the deer meadow with this years fallow fawns running around. The trail guides you passed the homes of the largest of all otters the Giant otter from the Amazon. The Chestnut Centre is the only place in the UK to see a family of Giant otters.

Further along are Eurasian otters, North American otters and the ever captivating Asian short claw otter. 17 species of owls, pine marten, foxes, Scottish wildcats, European polecats can all be seen against the natural back ground.
